I sold a large oil on box canvas painting, ‘Navigate Invisible’, via Saatchi Art online, and the customer was in Los Angeles, USA.
So I had to package the artwork safely and securely for flight via UPS. This involved securely wrapping the painting first in glassine paper, bubble wrap, foamboard and cardboard, then constructing a wooden crate from 10mm plywood. Luckily i was able to make this in my studio workshop shed in the garden, and had the help of my wife Amanda. It was a heavy object in the end, but it arrived safely a week later at its destination.
